campaign summary for 'take a break in the uk'
'Take a Break in the UK' is a solus direct mail piece and is our flagship composite UK destination and travel campaign. Now in its tenth year, the mailer is a leading product in the current market place producing unrivalled response and conversion rates for advertisers.
Clean data is a vital component of any mailing, and we conduct an annual programme of data hygiene to ensure data integrity and effectiveness. The bespoke database is primarily ABC1 consumers (150,000) with an interest in taking a short break in the UK.
The January 2009 feature generated an average 3806 brochures per advertiser - a 22% improvement on the 2008 campaign. The lowest CPR in 2009 was just 36p! More interesting is that the volume of reader reply coupons returned increased by 49% and the overall brochures orders was up by 33% compared to the 2008 campaign. This shows that direct mail is still a significant part of any media mix and the value of the reader reply coupon cannot be underestimated as a valuable response mechanism.
Other features of this campaign are:
- Eye-catching creative, which engages with the reader and boosts response levels
- Dedicated website to match those consumers who prefer online as their preferred response channel
- NEW for 2009 was the introduction of FREEPOST - even more appropriate in the current climate to connect with UK consumers
